Our Mission

In November 2022, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government(TMG) announced a strategy "Global Innovation with STARTUPS," which aims to create a new era together with startups to solve the issues in Tokyo and lead to its growth. The strategy describes TMG's new programs to support startups with a "Born Global" mindset, that startups with business plans that aim to capture the global market will be supported by TMG. In addition, the government encourages challengers, who are interested in founding or joining startups, to look to the global stage and build their bright future, as well as supporting the recruitment of startups.

To support talents who are interested in joining startups, it is essential to provide sufficient information to encourage the talents to decide on a career change to join a startup as one of their life choices. On the other hand, it is also necessary to create an environment in which startups can acquire the necessary human resources even with their limited budgets for public relations and recruiting activities. Therefore, we have been planning to provide opportunities for talents to openly access information on startups, which will be also an opportunity for startups to share information about their business and reach out to talents to find future employees.

TMG and the Startup Ecosystem Association Japan, in cooperation with organizations and institutions supporting startups, will hold the "Startup Career Fair 2023" to bring together people interested in a career at a startup and startups who are looking for people to join them.
